AI is critical for humanity’s survival: Cisco President on the AI revolution | Jeetu Patel

Jeetu Patel, chief product officer and president at Cisco, describes how he drove Cisco's AI-first transformation by committing fully rather than hedging, shifting from siloed "general manager" incentives to a platform mindset, and embracing an open ecosystem with competitors. He shares leadership lessons on owning the company narrative personally, debating openly in public while building trust privately, and staying prepared for hard problems, plus a six-part framework—timing, market, team, product, brand, distribution—for building great companies.
